What we never do
Five things you can hold us to. Each one is true of the app as it works today, and if you ever find one that isn’t, tell us.
We never sell your data
No adverts, no data brokers, and nothing in the app that tracks you for anybody else. The privacy notice names everyone who helps us run Align and what they do.
We never read your messages
Nobody at Align opens a conversation unless somebody in it reports it to us, and then only to deal with the report. The only other person who can read it is her wali, if she switches on his weekly transcript, and you’re told when she does.
We never show your photos to strangers
Until you’re introduced, other members see a blurred picture or a silhouette. A sister can keep hers as a silhouette until she chooses to share it with one person.
We never swap phone numbers
Calls happen inside the app, so nobody needs your number. The chat holds back phone numbers, links and usernames.
Nothing renews by itself
You pay once for the time you choose. Nothing is taken again, so there’s nothing to remember to cancel.
